Show week!!!!!

Yay! Its finally show week! I can't wait we have our first technical run through tomorrow- should be fun!! (I've never used microphones properly before- apparently I am using 2 microphones!!) I hope I don't break or damage anything! (Ooops!) I don't see what happened to health and safety on the stage!?! I went to see it on Friday and all I saw was wires, wires, wires! (and Amps, and microphones!!)
I can't wait to sing on the stage tomorrow- never done it before!! (by myself that is!) I have been reassured everything will work but every time we have a show something breaks or goes wrong! We are using the dreaded fishing wire again (not 91 metres this time Andrew!!) We have tickets on sale finally after a bit of nagging that we only have days till the show! Its 4 days till the show now. I am a tiny weeny bit nervous but that's always good apparently?! We are selling 400 tickets which is a bit scary but its for charity!
I am using a inflatable hammer and a bow and arrow in my song (should be fun!)

We attempt two part harmony at the end of the song which should be interesting?!?! (hehe!) Hope I get my part right- have done so far!!!!

Right, ok so please but tickets!!! If you can!! They are only £2 (nearly the same as the Haygate or for a big Mac burger!!!)

Happy Mothers Day!

We had a wonderful family day out today to Stokesay Castle. The weather was rather wintery but it didn't spoil the day (even though it was a bit cold). Just a bit cold!

Stokesay Castle is a 13th century manor house in a beautiful setting. Well worth a visit! (Especially if your local).

I'm in!

I went for an interview at New College this afternoon! I got in!
I am so pleased with myself, but I don't want to leave school. I think its going to be really hard for me to leave. Though I can't wait to start working towards my A Levels!
It all is starting to become real. To me it seems ages till we start our exams but when I look at the calendar they look really close.

I have a singing exam in Shrewsbury on Tuesday! I am a bit excited as its my first singing exam ever but a tiny weeny bit nervous! (Its always good to be a tiny weeny bit nervous- I think!)

Its 2 weeks to go till the Performance Evening and already I am anxious that these new ideas for the lighting may not work as hoped! (14 days! Arrgggggggghhhh!)
I want as many people to come and watch the show, there will be 350 seats which you have to get in advance!

The show should be good! (If these ideas get transformed from ideas to reality!)

I LOVE MONDAYS!

Hi,
Today's aerobics lesson was fun but very hard!
We recapped the routine we had learnt last week, but nobody could remember it off by heart so... we learnt it again! We learnt it inside out- which is harder than you think! I loved it though! Hehe! AEROBICS ROCKS!!!! You don't get bored at all! Our instructor wears us out though!
I can't wait till next week!

My singing lesson was great we were acting and singing at the same time! For my singing exam I am doing "I Got Rhythm, I Got Music!" and "Can You Feel the Love Tonight?"

Today's been a great day! I am going to Girls Brigade tonight which should be fun!

I LOVE MONDAYS!

Aerobics Is Fun!!

Guess what................

I went to an aerobics class at school on Monday! It was really fun- not at all what I expected.
We learnt an aerobics-dance routine! It had a salsa and cha cha cha move in it, so I was really impressed with myself!

It was open to all yr.10 and yr.11 girls, so I went. I was the only yr.11 girl there!! (But next week there might be a few more- I have persuaded a few!!!) I have friends who went who are yr.10 so I still had a little giggle!! (hehe!) I felt really hot and tired afterwards though!! (couldn't switch the radiator off!) I drank 2 bottles of water in an hour!

I can't wait to go next week, I have found a new talent!

Something else I am good at.........

I LOVE HISTORY!!!!

Yer, I don't love it but history is going OK at the moment!!

I am doing history coursework at the moment which I am finding quite interesting as the coursework title is "History Around Us". We are looking at the fourth biggest Roman City which is only basically a few miles away (Down the road), its called Wroxeter and it is owned by the English Heritage.

I have been studying the site carefully in 4 trips that I have had to the site. One with school and three others with my family. We are really happy because we have a year membership with the English Heritage which Mum and Dad got from Andrew and Suzanne for Christmas.

In fact, we went to Wroxeter today- I loved it. We went into the museum and took lots of photos as well!!! I love taking photos!!

I actually did a talk on "Photography" for my English speaking exam which I got an A grade for.

But lets get back to the point, HISTORY!!! I have got my first draft of the first part on my coursework back- it is apparently very good!!!! By the time I have finished it I reckon it will be really good- especially the grammar?!?!? Hehe!!

I am currently working on the second piece of coursework. I am hoping to try and get something handed in on Thursday. Yay!!

So I am finding history OK at the moment and I am determined to get at least a C in history. And I reckon if I keep up the enthusiasm I will do it! I WILL DO IT!!

Are you going to "Scarborough Fair"?

I am doing "Scarborough Fair" for my GCSE Music ensemble. (I have also started singing my own version of "Scarborough Fair"- hehe!!)
I am really happy at the moment because my Dad got me the cd with the song on it! So I can play along to it! (Simon & Garfunkel). Dad went out at 10.30 on Thursday night to Tesco to get me the cd specially, my Mum and Dad were looking in Morrisons because Dad had spotted a Simon & Garfunkel cd! But unfortunately it did not have "Scarborough Fair" on it. So they searched on internet to see who sold the cd. My Mum had also been going around all the charity shops trying to find the cd/tape. The next morning my Mum told me they had managed to get a cd with "Scarborough Fair" on it- I was well pleased!! I played "Scarborough Fair" on Friday morning as I ate my breakfast!! (+ sang but we don't need to go into that!!)

My Mum also got me a cd with a variety of songs from the musicals- which I absolutely adore! (especially track 5 (All I ask of you by Andrew Lloyd- Webber) and track 19 (Time Warp!!!!) !!
I play the cd all the time and sometimes put certain songs on "repeat!!" (because I love them so much!) She also got me a tape of "Cats". In real life I am not the biggest fan ever of cats but I like the songs in the musical- I don't think I've ever watched the show but I have seen the adverts!! Hehe!
